If you've been asking yourself one or more of these questions lately, then your career needs a check-up. No doubt you maintain your car regularly, get your teeth checked periodically, and go in for a physical every 1-2 years, so why not review the health of what pays for all that ... your job?
That's the idea behind CSFW's Annual Career Check-Up in a nutshell. But before I explain what the ACC entails, let me clarify one critical point: what I mean by the word "career".
The usual definition of a career is a field for or pursuit of consecutive progressive achievement especially in public, professional, or business life. But as a Career Coach, I find that definition too limiting for mass consumption. I prefer a more holistic and expansive definition:
Your career is all the things you have done throughout your adult life, either paid or unpaid, that have made a positive contribution to others.
So, when I talk about an annual career check-up, I'm referring to an annual review process that helps you to evaluate the current state of the sum total of the things you have done throughout your adult life, either paid or unpaid, that have made a positive contribution to others.
The Annual Career Check-Up is a 4-week coaching program that will help you to:
-
Assess your 2006 achievements
-
Determine where you are in the Cycle of Career Change
-
Identify your personal and professional goals for 2007
-
Break through the barriers and tolerations that are getting in your way
-
Evaluate the health of your worklife across 100 "vital signs"
-
Create an action plan to improve or maintain your ACC scores
-
Get support as you accomplish the steps you've decided to take to enhance your career's health
-
Discover 100 ways to boost your career satisfaction
How can the Annual Career Check-Up Coaching Program accomplish all this? By offering you:
